About UsOn a winter's night in 2016, artists and writers gathered in a downtown Kenosha (WIsconsin) craft beer brewery to draw and write their way to the first issue of a zine called Moss Piglet. They called themselves the Kenosha/Racine Area Zine Makers (shortened in 2018 to Krazines) and named their publication after a nickname from the nearly-microscopic and darn-near indestructible animal, the tardigrade. Since that time, Krazines has hosted art jams, zine fests, exhibits, and urban and rural sketching adventures, but these days Krazines focuses on publishing Moss Piglet on a monthly basis. Our zine has grown from a 16-page, black-and-white, saddle-stitched publication to a full-color and perfect bound journal of 90+ pages that's professionally printed on high-quality stock and distributed world-wide to subscribers and contributors.
Send your submissions (based on our monthly themes) to us at [email protected]. We enjoy seeing work by both emerging voices in art and creative writing as well as from established artists and authors. |
