Our journal is in full-color, perfect bound, on quality stock and is available to subscribers and for single-issue sales (limited quantities per month.) Each month, we place a global call for submissions to a new issue of Moss Piglet, and provide a theme to help artists and authors kick start their imagination. All submissions are due by the first Wednesday of the month. We accept visual art, poetry, flash fiction and essays (up to 1,000 words), photos, and comics.
November 2024 Theme: Patterns

The Krazines is accepting submissions through Wednesday, October 2nd for its November 2024 issue with the theme, Patterns. Send to [email protected]. And read our Submissions Guidelines for image and text information. The Cambridge dictionary defines patterns as "any regularly repeated arrangement, especially a design made from repeated lines, shapes, or colors on a surface." That's only one way to interpret its meaning, however. There are patterns in music, in daily living, and the seasons of the year. There's a search for patterns in crime-solving and in cloud-watching. You might examine fractals in nature, or have a pareidolic experience when you see a face in an electronic outlet. Moss Piglet is published without ads, so we rely on subscriptions, donations, grants, and single-issue sales to continue our operations. We work on a break-even basis, more or less, so funds received are used to pay for the next issue's printing. Retail copies are $15, plus shipping. Contributors receive a discount.
